As Lagosians gear towards the 2017 Local Government Elections,  Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has dashed the hopes of 1,500 counsellorship and chairmanship aspirants by asking them to withdraw from the race for the party’s consensus candidates.

The APC Chieftain  further revealed that 18  former  council chairmen would get automatic ticket , because the party promised them and the promise must be fulfilled . Those who have already purchased nomination forms should go and negotiate with party leaders and if you don’t want to negotiate, you can request for the money you paid for nomination form and it will be given to you.  We will refund the nomination fees already paid by those who voluntarily step down,” he said this 

While addressing APC members on Wednesday during a stakeholders meeting at the party’s secretariat in Acme Road, Ogba, Lagos on the forthcoming local government elections.

According to New Telegraph 542 and 1,820 chairmanship and councillorship aspirants collected APC nomination forms. With Tinubu’s directive. At the end only 57 and 377 candidates will emerge for the chairmanship and counsellorship elections, the aspiration of 1,928 aspirants will not see the light of the day.
