LONDON TO BEEF UP SECURITY AHEAD OF NEW YEAR'S EVE CELEBRATION.

As the year runs to an end in a couple of days , London plans to beef  up its police presence and close down some roads for New Year’s Eve , this is as a result of repeated extremist  attacks that were experience in the city in the past months.

On Thursday , The Metropolitan Police  said although  there’s no specific threat to the city’s massive celebration , which is focused on a fireworks display over the River Thames, But says the public shoulb be vigilant.
  
Superintendent Nick Aldworth Says both overt and covert protection methods will be used and revelers should expect to see armed police vehicle barriers . The police boss further advised the  public to be patience on New year’s eve because there will be many checkpoints in place.

Meanwhile  Police authority stated that   tickets for London’s fireworks display have all been sold out and that those without ticket should watch the event on television.
