HarvestPlus is
partnering with the Enugu State SME center to host the third edition of its annual
Nutritious Food Fair (NFF). This event is scheduled to take place at the Michael
Okpara Square in Enugu on 28—30 November 2017.
NFF 2017 will among other objectives facilitate at
least 3000 jobs in the nutritious food sector, empowering participants to
transition into employment and entrepreneurship opportunities in the fast
growing biofortified value chain in Nigeria.
It is free and open to all categories and groups of
people interested in starting up or growing a sustainable agribusiness
enterprise using nutritious and vitamin A enriched crops.
According to Adaobi Okezie-Odoemene, Knowledge and Communication Officer, HarvestPlus
Nigeria and Nollywood partners like popular film maker Fidelis Duker and talented actor Segun Arinze,will make the official announcement during the breakfast with harvestplus on monday, 6 November, 2017 from 10:000

Harvest Plus improves nutrition and public health by developing and promoting biofortified
food crops that are rich in vitamins and minerals, and providing global
leadership on biofortification evidence and technology. HarvestPlus is part of
the CGIAR Research Program on Agriculture for Nutrition and Health (A4NH).
CGIAR is a global agriculture research partnership for a food secure future.
Its science is carried out by its 15 research centers in collaboration with
hundreds of partner organizations. The HarvestPlus program is coordinated by
two of these centers, the International Center for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT)
and the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI).
