Plans are underway to hold Old School Music Fiesta in Lagos , according to a press statement made available to Lagoshappens,blogspot.com , the show will come up on Sunday 29th October, 2017 at
Maximus Adeniyi Jones, Opposite Wahum, Ikeja to celebrate music of yesteryears
and the originators of some of the popular Nigerian songs.
The festival is designed to give lovers of old school music a sense of belonging and to
satisfy their yearnings for this kind of music because they feel
marginalized. In the words of the organizers the event will be an annual event dedicated to D.J. Max Kendy and his friends.
Max Kendy is one of the
pioneer disc jockeys in Nigeria, he has been there for over three decades, he is
the founding father of D. J. Association of Nigeria (DJAN) which Jimmy Jatt is
the current President. Presently DJ Max Kendy is on Rainbow FM dishing out old
school tunes every Sunday. For his
immense contribution to the entertainment industry in Nigeria in Nigeria hence
this event is named after him
Some of the artistes expected at the show includes , Desmond Elliot , Ras Kimono, Baba Fryo, Daddy Showkey and other celebrities .
