GROUP REJECTS BODE GEORGE AS LEADER OF PDP IN LAGOS STATE.

All the   PDP Candidates in the last  Local Council Elections 2017 in Lagos state meet recently in Alimosho area of the state at the end of the well attended  general meeting a communique was issued on the leadership tussle rocking the state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party in the state.      

 

The Candidates who contested in the recently concluded LG poll in Lagos state stated that they  are not really happy with the way things are going on within the party . According to the coordinator of the group ,  Honourable Babatunde Musbau Yusuf , from Ifelodun Local Council Development Area. We have meet as a group and we hereby issued a communique and this we believe is in the best interest of the party  

 

.We just want to let the  National Working Committee ,PDP BOT and every other PDP leaders and the entire PDP lovers and supporters to know that the problem rocking the state chapter of the party is not Markafi/Sheriff power tussle issue, but a unanimous decision of every well meaning youths of the party that had suffered a lot since 1998 to 2017 in struggling to ensure that PDP attain the position of a ruling party in Lagos state.

 

Secondly we are using this medium to inform our Leaders at the National level and the general public that the internal crisis rocking the party is between Chief Olabode George the assumed PDP Factional National leader and The real Grassroots PDP members across the state who worked Independently with a mind set of forming a formidable team that will produce more and reasonable electoral victory and possibly produce the first ever PDP Government in Lagos by 2019.

 

Thirdly we strongly condemned the leadership of Chief Olabode George who does not have a sound grassroot political record to continue to have a predominant value over the well meaning grassroots PDP members that have sounds grassroots and  political track records.

 

Also,  Chief Bode George does not deserved to be a leader in the party , if he can boldly campaign, support, financed and mobilized against PDP which he had benefited immensely from, in favored of Labour Party and even go to the extent of attempting to Short Changed the party's Candidates lists at LASIEC office 2 days to the election, after publicly announced through the media that Lagosians should vote for Labour Party, then we are of the view that he is not worthy to continue as the recognized leader of PDP in Lagos State . The coordinator  further revealed that Chief  Bode George instructed his factional PDP members in Lagos to decamp to labour party and contests against PDP while chief Bode George was busy destroying, destabilizing the party, chief Mrs Aduke Maina was encouraging and pushing the agenda of PDP in Lagos ensuring victory for all our candidates in Lagos , this type of individual does not fit to lead us” he submitted .

 

At the end of the meeting members of the group are   of  the view that Otunba Segun Adewale Aeroland is a real grass root politician with a sound socio -political track records which a lot of well meaning grassroots PDP members across the state can testify to.

His political antecedent record made him to have the support of the 6 elected House of Representatives members from Lagos state to support his leadership as the Competent State Chairman of PDP in Lagos.

At this junction we the candidates of the just concluded local govt. Election in Lagos State hereby pass a votes of confidence on the leadership of Otunba Segun Adewale and his excos in Lagos State.

     

By and Large, we urge the NWC and BOT to please look into the political issues and misery surrounding Lagos PDP since 1999 till date critically, and they  will find out that Chief Bode George is only using Lagos PDP as a money making machine at the detriments of PDP members, lovers and supporters at the grassroots level in favour of the ruling AD, AC, ACN and now APC party in Lagos state. 

 

In conclusion, It's our believe that  NWC and BOT members wish  Lagos PDP well in the coming elections most especially in 2019? If so, they should please accord  with due recognition to the leadership of Otunba Segun Adewale (Aeroland ) as the preferred PDP State Chairman whose political antecedents, charisma and enthusiasm are convincing enough to be emulated and recognized or we should go for proper congress from ward to state level not amortization.  if the national working committee does not come into this matter and recon with us, also identify with our cause,  we will be forced to look for an alternative. In other words, Adewale Adeleke the Public Relation Officer of the group. This is group will continue to meet to forge a common grand for the part at the grassroot level. The meeting which was well attended had in attendance, Honorable Lawal Saheed Abiodun Secretary  General of the group   ,councilors and chairmanship candidates in the last Local Government elections.
