The Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin
Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (SAN) has implored new couples on the need to live
a Christian life so that their marriages can be fruitful.
The Governor gave the advice over the weekend at the
wedding ceremony of the daughter of Barrister and Mrs. Segun Ogodo and
the son of Mr and Mrs Edem in Akure, the State Capital.
Akeredolu, who was represented by the
State Deputy Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Engr. Ade
Adetimehin urged the newly wedded couple, Olubunmi Aderonke and Godwin
Maxwell to live a happy and decent life with the fear of God for their
lives to be better.
He advised them to tolerate each other for the promise of God for their lives to come through.
He described the event as a thing of joy
for the parents of the couple and urged the parents to abstain from
interfering in the family affairs of the new couple.
The Governor also enjoined the couple not to allow third party into their matrimonial home for them to live a fulfilled life.
In his words“Marriage is another
stage in life which everyone prays to attain. I thank God for the life
of the parents of the couple to witness the marriage ceremony of their
children, this is worthy of emulation.
“It is my prayer for the new couple to
live a happy life. I advise the parents to leave them alone to live
their own life as expected by God.
“Both families are families to emulate,
because the groom is from Akwa Ibom and well cultured while the bride is
from Ondo State, Yorubaland, also well cultured and they are
compatible.” he concluded.
