(Snr Reporter)
Since her exit from the Nigeria Stock exchange , Dr Ndi Okereke has decided to lay low. She used to be a regular face at major corporate event in the country and also always in the news, due to the position she occupied then. But these days not much is heard about her. Some people are of the views that , the way she was sent packing as the D-G might be the reason she decided to face her private business.
As the Director-General of the Nigerian Stock Exchange, Rivers State born Dr. Ndi Okereke-Onyiuke, otherwise known as Madam Stock Exchange, was the first female to ever hold the position. She was removed from her job just months to her retirement . Though the case is still in court awaiting the final verdict.
The much-anticipated exit of Dr. Ndidi Okereke-Onyuike, as the Director-General of the Nigeria Stock Exchange (NSE), which was supposed to end on a high note was shattered when she was sacked in august 2010. Some school of thought believed it was due to her face-off with business mogul and then President of the NSE Alhaji Aliko Dangote who exposed the corruption rocking the exchange.
