THE 2019 edition of Olojo Festival has come and gone , but it will be an event to be remember for a very long time, this was as a result of an outstanding event (Ankara Carnival )  that heralded  the much anticipated Olojo Festival.

The  Ankara canival in ile ife, was not just a funfair it was a carnival that added values to the lives of some less privileged in the community as well as empowerment of women in ile ife. The Initiator of the project ,Yeye Titilade Adewuyi Ijiwole sooko Moropo put smiles on faces as she empowered scores of young and old women to self employed.

 Hairdryers. Hairdryers sewing machines and lots of other materials were given out as empowerment tools to these artisans . Yeye Giesi as she is fondly called used the Ankara canival to unite the  youths together in community 

On the day of the event , Ile ife streets were agog with music dance and Brazil costumed carnival train that danced round the street of ife to herald the commencement of the Ankara festival 

The event is an annual event powered by yeye Titilade Adewuyi Ijiwole to celebrate the age long Olojo festival in ile ife.

The event had lots  guest in attendance including the Mayor of Banjul Senegal.Sooko Nla ekun and many other distinguished guest who witnessed the three in one show

ADOPT A CHILD PROJECT WILL GIVE SUCCOUR TO THE LESS PRIVILEGED...PRINCESS TITILADE ADEWUYI-IJIWOLE

 Princess Titilade  Adewuyi -Ijiwole (Sooko Moropo, Yeye Giesi of the Source), is one of a kind woman , she believe so much in helping others, most especially , less privileged , the youth and the elderly, She is the family initator of "feed the elderly" in Ile ife. She is a philanthropy, she empowers young women, she also the matron of some organizations where she helps in empowering the youth. at the moment  she is  sponsoring some children's education in various schools.. 

In other to do more,her new pet project "Adopt a child" is an opportunity for individuals and companies to contribute to the lives  of the less privileged in the  society.According to her ,the initiative is open for collaboration with  corporate oraganisations and individual.

Aside from been a cheerful helper, she also into the promotion of the rich Yoruba Culture, she is the brain behind ANKARA CARNIVAL. 

  the main purpose of the Ankara Carnival, is to celebrate the rich Yoruba Cultural heritage, through Fashion and life Style , the hardworking business woman and Educator also hinted that , the event is designed to add glamour to  the Olojo Festival, one of the major festival celebrated annually in Ile -Ife,  by His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi , Ojaja II, she further revealed that the event will also create a platform for Fashion Designers, Ankara Fabric Vendors, Ankara Accessory Makers, Beads Makers, Shoe Makers and among others,  to showcase their products and services to thousands guests who are expected at the event.

" The ultimate aim of the initiative is also to empower the youth within the community" she concluded.  

  

The event,   is slated for 27th September,2019 at the Royal  Palace, Afeworo ground, Enuwa, Ile -Ife, Osun State . Carnival starts from 10am.

OLOJO FESTIVAL: ANKARA CARNIVAL 2019 RETURNS WITH YOUTH EMPOWERMENT AND LOTS MORE.

The Olojo Festival is a cultural festival in the calendar of  Ile-Ife,  Osun State, which is located in the Southwestern part of Nigeria. The festival is held annually in October.  As part of activities lined up for the celebration of  2019 edition of the festival Olojo is the Ankara Carnival , which will add glamour to the Olojo Festival , organized by the office of Sooko Moropo Titilade Adewuyi- Ijiwole, the one day event will feature , Music, Comedy, Games, Dance and lots more. 

It will interest you to know that, Ankara Carnival is a foremost segment of the Olojo Festival, the carnival event, showcases the richness of the Ankara Fabrics, with lots of traditional dances , youth empowerment and other other value  added programmes.

Ankara , is one of the most used African Print Fabric. Although Ankara did not  originate from here in Nigeria, but it is adored by women and men in every Nigerian region. its widely used by the Yorubas of South West Nigeria for every occasions, be it House Warming, wedding, Naming Ceremony, Burial Political Rallies and Religious Events.

NAIJABIZFAIR .3 ,WILL CONNECT BUYERS WITH SELLERS..Oluwatomisin Ajayi.

As part of activities to celebrate the 59^th Independence of our dear country , Nigeria . The organizers of the annual Naijabizfair are set to make the celebration a memorable one, as a result of this ,plans are in advanced stages for the 3^rd edition of Naijabizfair, a 2 days fair , where buyers and sellers will connect to interact and seal deals.

According to the founder of  the  project  Oluwatomisin Ajayi, who is also  the Chief Executive Officer,  Oreke Fabrics, Royal Crownbeddings  and Orekelewa Beads, the fair was designed to connect entrepreneurs  with their buyers , through buying and selling, with  the aim of contributing to the economic growth of the nation and also creating a platform for upcoming entrepreneurs to excel in other  to  create  more jobs.  

She further revealed that   though there are no major sponsors since inception 3years ago , but that has not stopped her and her team in hosting the event which they are passionately about.

Naijabizfair ,she continues “was not only my dream but a dream of hardworking business entrepreneurs even though they are not with me today but I will never or ever forget them because we started this dream together, people like Mrs Nkiru Ok (CEO @merchantplus), Mrs ebun( CEO@doreskincare) Mrs Doris Afolabi( CEO@theukmerchant) Mrs jumoke (CEO @kizhara_glams), and Miss Christabel, I am so grateful to them for letting this dream become reality. MISS SOMOLU BEAUTY PAGEANT ON THE MOVE.

Plans are in advanced stages for  the 2019 edition of the Miss Somolu Beauty Pageant, (MSBP) the  event a beauty based competition  is designed to bring out   beautiful and intelligent female  among young girls between the ages of 18-30.within the community with of showcasing them to the world also the project  aimed at promoting the city and rich cultural heritage of somolu.

According to Big Jo ,the president of MSBP, " Our ultimate goal is  to  empower and equip  young individuals for greater entrepreneurship thereby increasing the self-dependency, employment with a unique blend of recreation, fashion, beauty and life style" he further stated that the theme for the event  is.. talking empowerment, think youth’. our nission , he continues is continuously the  empower youths to be role models of  in their immediate society and the world at large.

The grand finale of the event comes up on the 23rd  June, 2019 at V-Ginis Opp Yabatech, Jibowu ,Lagos .Winners are expected to walk away with a brand , cash prizes and gifts items. WHAT IS ADA KARL UP TO?

Information at our disposal indicate that  Nigerian Filmmaker , Writer  and  Actress,  Ada Karl formally known as Adaslim is up to something , according the gist the talented TV Host , is planning to release  two movies and also set to celebrate her birthday in a couple of months in a unique way as she is also working on an empowerment programme for women .   

Ada Karl who got married last year, to her Caucasian lover, is an  active player in the Nigerian movie industry generally known as Nollywood, over the years she has produced many movies and also worked with some of the best actors and actresses, the list included, veteran actor , Pete Edochie , Desmond Elliot, Nora Roberts, Patrick Doyle, Mercy Johnson, Patience Ozokwor (Mama G),  Oge Okoye, Tontoh Dikeh, she has also worked with the likes of , Juliet Ibrahim, Alex Ekubo, Oby Somina Okafor, Ruby Dabbour, Denrele Edun and Bryan Okwara among many others. some of her movies like IRREPLACEABLE and SECRET PAIN have been featured on Africa-Magic and other television stations within and outside the country,  “KENNY’S DIVAS” and “HOW TO PLAY A PLAYER” were also produced by her.  .  

Mentored by Nollywood Icon - her godfather - Chief Pete Edochie, Adaslim achieved a great media footprint in her early 20’s and once received accolades as the Most Creative Young Nollywood Producer in Africa. Although she originated from  Nigerian ,she is also an  American citizen.

Having studied Broadcasting, at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) Real Estate, at New York Real Estate Institute (NYREI) Manhattan, New York and Communication Arts at the New York University. In a bid to adapt with the ever-changing global trends and boost her insight and competence in TV presenting, Adaslim received an international training in TV presenting at the Los Angeles Film School, California, USA.
