DALLAS SHOOTING: 5 POLICE OFFICERS DEAD AND 7 OTHERS INJURED.

MICAH JOHNSON
It all started as a peaceful Rally in downtown Dallas , all of a sudden, a  black U.S. military veteran of the Afghan war who said he wanted to "kill white people" opened fire in a sniper attack in which five police officers were slain at a protest decrying police shootings of black men, officials said on Friday.
Seven other police officers and two civilians were wounded in the ambush in downtown Dallas on Thursday night, officials said. Police killed the gunman, identified by authorities as 25-year-old Micah Johnson, with a bomb-carrying robot after cornering him in a parking lot, ending an hours-long standoff
In the words of President Obama ‘ Dallas shooting 'vicious, calculated and despicable'  while  Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings  described the incident  as a terrible blow to the city of Dallas. ‘This is a terrible blow to the United States of America," Dallas Police Chief David Brown called the incident "a well-planned, well-thought-out, evil tragedy,"

Dallas crime scene investigators were inside Johnson’s single-family brick home in Mesquite, located about 12 miles outside of Dallas, for several hours Friday morning and the  investigators found a massive cache of weapons — bomb-making materials, ballistic vests, rifles, ammunition, and a personal journal of combat tactics, authorities said. The cold-blooded cop assassinations carried out by Johnson, who had no criminal record or ties to political or terror groups, left his relatives reeling
Before he was killed by a police bomb robot, Johnson told a police negotiator he was targeting white officers because he was angry over the cop-involved killings in Louisiana and Minnesota.
