'Worst day in post-war Britain', David Cameron Resigns as Prime Minister.

Cameron
David Cameron has resigned as Prime Minister after Britain voted to leave the European Union.
With the Leave campaign securing 52 per cent of the vote, Mr Cameron addressed the nation in an emotional speech outside 10 Downing Street to announce that he would be stepping down.

The U.K. would be the first major country to leave the EU, which was born from the ashes of World War II as European leaders sought to build links and avert future hostility. With no precedent, the impact on the single market of 500 million people — the world's largest economy — is unclear.

In the words of  Mark Carney The Bank of England governor made "It will take some time for the UK to establish a new relationship with Europe and the rest of the world. So some market and economic volatility can be expected as this process unfolds, but we are well prepared for this. Her Majesty’s Treasury and the Bank of England have engaged in extensive contingency planning and the chancellor and I have remained in close contact including through the night and this morning. The Bank of England will not hesitate to take additional measure as required, as markets adjust. Credit .Photo by: www.thedailybeast.com

JUST IN : OBAMA NOT HAPPY WITH THE SUPREME COURT RULLING ON IMMIGRATION.

The U.S. Supreme Court on Thursday dealt President Barack Obama a harsh defeat by blocking his plan to spare millions of illegal immigrants from deportation in a split 4-4 ruling he called frustrating to those aiming to fix America's broken immigration system.
The ruling, coming seven months before Obama's term in office ends, marked the latest success that his Republican adversaries have had in thwarting a major policy initiative of the Democratic president. It also guarantees that immigration will remain a prominent part of the campaign ahead of the Nov. 8 election in which voters will pick his successor.

"For more than two decades now, our immigration system ... has been broken, and the fact that the Supreme Court was not able to issue a decision today doesn't just set the system back even further, it takes us further from the country that we aspire to be," Obama said at the White House.

The 4-4 decision left in place a 2015 lower-court ruling blocking his executive action on immigration, which was never implemented.

Obama unveiled his plan in November 2014 and it was quickly challenged in court by Republican-governed Texas and 25 other states that argued that Obama exceeded his presidential powers by taking the executive action and bypassing Congress.

Obama called the ruling frustrating to those who want to "bring a rationality" to the immigration system and to allow the estimated 11 million immigrants in the country illegally to "come out of the shadows." CREDIT:PHOTO BY:www.telegraph.co.uk

FREDDIE GRAY DEATH: POLICE DRIVER ACQUITTED OF ALL CHARGES.

LATE FREDDIE GRAY                                                          CAESAR GOOSON
A Baltimore judge has acquitted a police van driver of all charges including "depraved-heart" murder on Thursday in the death of 25-year-old arrestee Freddie Gray, whose broken neck on the way to the station set off  Baltimore's worst riots in decades.
Some other officers  were charged in Gray's death, but only Officer Caesar Goodson was accused of murder. Gray was fatally injured after officers bound his hands and feet and Goodson left him unprotected by a seat belt that prosecutors say would have kept him from slamming into the van's metal walls. Baltimore Circuit Judge Barry Williams delivered his verdict after hearing five days of testimony in the non-jury trial. He also found Goodson not guilty of manslaughter, assault, misconduct in office, and reckless endangerment.

Freddie Gray, 25, was arrested in April 2015 for running away from police officers. He died a week after sustaining a spinal injury while in the back of a police van. His death sparked civil unrest in Baltimore, part of a wider national debate on police brutality and the death of unarmed black men at the hands of police. GAY MARRIAGE LAWSUIT : KIM DAVIS ASKS COURT TO DISMISS APPEALS .

KIM DAVIES .PHOTO :WWW.DAILYMAIL.CO.UK
Do you remember her , a  Kentucky clerk who spent five days in jail for refusing to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples asked a federal appeals court on Tuesday to dismiss her appeals of a judge’s ruling because of a new state law that will take effect next month.
Rowan County Clerk Kim Davis stopped issuing all marriage licenses after a U.S. Supreme Court ruling effectively legalized gay marriage last year. Two gay couples and two straight couples sued her. A federal judge ordered her to issue the licenses, but she refused and went to jail.

Davis appealed the decision, and a federal appeals court had scheduled arguments in the case next month. But in April, the state legislature approved a new law removing the county clerks’ names and authorizations from state marriage licenses. Davis said the law accommodates her religious beliefs and makes her appeals unnecessary.

Kimberly Jean Bailey Davis (born September 17, 1965) is the country clerk  for  Rowan County , Kentucky , who gained international attention in August 2015 when she defied a U.S. federal court order to issue marriage licenses to same -sex couples, following the June 26, 2015, U.S. Supreme Court decision in Obergefell v. Hodges. Kim Davis reacted to the decision by denying marriage licenses to all couples, saying she was acting "under God's authority Her defiance led to her jail sentence, while both supporters and detractors hotly debated her stance in the national media. Marriage licenses in Rowan County are now being issued to all citizens as required by law.
Davis was born in Jackson , Kentucky. By 1991, Davis was serving as chief deputy clerk of Rowan County, reporting to her mother, the Rowan County clerk. Davis' first three marriages ended in divorce in 1994, 2006, and 2008; she then remarried her second husband in 2009. She became an Apostolic  Christian in 2011. A court found her salary to be higher than expected and therefore cut her wages in 2012. Despite complaints of  nepotism. Davis was elected court clerk in 2014 and promised to follow the statutes of the office. Additional information from Wikipedia.
